George Mason University has an outstanding campus in our own backyard. This is GMU’s Science and Technology Campus, located in Innovation Park. SciTech offers a variety of fields of study including nursing, criminology, kinesiology, chemistry, athletic training, bioengineering and more. For PWC residents, saving the trip further north to attend the main campus is a major convenience! Campus resources include a full-service library, large drop-in computer lab, information center, University Police, university bookstore, dining services, student lounge, shuttle bus service between the Fairfax and SciTech Campuses, and a full complement of student and academic services.
Northern Virginia Community College is also located in Manassas. The Innovation Park campus offers a variety of academic programs, workforce development and personal interest courses. Northern Virginia Community College has offered a quality and convenient education at an affordable price since 1964. NOVA is the largest public educational institution in Virginia and the second-largest community college in the United States. It is also one of the most internationally diverse colleges in the United States, with a student body consisting of individuals from more than 180 countries.
ECPI boasts a “friendly atmosphere, small classes, an array of learning resources, and a team of faculty and staff that are dedicated to your success.” You’ll find a variety of degree programs including cybersecurity, criminal justice, nursing, business administration and more. Students also reap the benefits of the ECPI employer program, which involves employer partners in the education process and helps students find jobs in their field after graduation. The PWC campus is located at 10021 Balls Ford Rd. #100 in Manassas.
For those attending college while working, Strayer is a great option. Strayer offers a number of masters and bachelors programs, as well as associate degrees and certificates. Areas of study include business administration, accounting, education and training, health services administration, nursing and information technology. They offer flexible scheduling for working adults, financial aid, academic supports and career advice.
